Tutorial: Do You Want to Build a Snowman? Card

The Snowman Bundle is one of my favorite Bundles in the Holiday Catalog. It was so much fun building this card and let’s just keep it real here, I might have been humming along to “Do You Want to Build a Snowman” the whole time while I was creating this card. I hope this inspires you wanting to build your own snowman next!

Step One

Stamp snowflakes from the Snowman Season stampset (part of the Snowman Season Bundle) in Coastal Cabana Ink on a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock 2-1/4” x 3-1/2”. I stamped of the big snowflakes on a scrap paper before stamping on my cardstock for a softer look.

Adhere a strip of the sparkly washi tape from the Let it Snow Embellishment kit to the bottom edge.

Step Two

Punch out one of the Snowmen from the Let it Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper. Love how the punch coordinates with the glittery snowmen in the paper. No stampin’ required!

When I create I often make multiples so I have an extra card or two to give away. It is easier to create assembly line style and it is fastert leaving me with a stash of cards on hand.

Step Three

Next I punched out one of the hats from the Designer Series Paper as well. See how easy it is to line up in the punch!

Step Four

I built my snowman by adhering him and the hat to my snowy scene with Dimensionals. The arms are punched from a scrap of Basic Black cardstock and tucked underneath the body with a few Glue Dots.

Lastly I added a Shaded Spruce felted scarf from the Let it Snow Embellishment kit with a few Glue Dots.

Step Five

For the most amazing pattern and texture I ran a piece of 4-1/8” x 5-3/8” Coastal Cabana cardstock piece through the Winter Knit 3D Embossing Folder and my Die-cutting machine.

My sentiment is a piece of 2-7/8” x 3/4” Flirty Flamingo cardstock with the sentiment from the Snowman Season stamp set stamped in Real Red Ink. I adhered the sentiment to the panel with Dimensionals.

Step Six

I used a 2” wide glittery strip from the Designer Series Paper to adhere to the embossed cardfront with glue.

I adhered my snowman panel to the cardfront with Dimensionals, as well as the cardfront to the 4-1/4’” x 11” cardbase with more Dimensionals.

Last step adding some small snowflakes from the Snowflake Sequins with Glue Dots to my cardfront using my favorite tool; Take Your Pick.

Assembly & Supplies

The finished card is so bright and cheery. I love all of these supplies that are all part of the Let it Snow Suite, which is available with just one order number - so convenient - or you can pick and choose your favorites like me.

I hope my card has inspired to go build your own snowman!

Happy Stampin’!
